The media is so happy about Nancy Pelosi. First she talked to the murderous thugs in Syria. Now she's thinking about going to talk to the murderous thugs in Iran. She is capable of building bridges with everyone she claims to disagree with, except the Bush Administration.
Going to other nations and claiming to represent the United States when you're Speaker of the House is illegal under US law. True to her liberal philosophy though, it all depends in how you define "represent". Officially these are "fact finding missions". That's hard to believe when she says to the press: "We came in friendship, hope, and determined that the road to Damascus is a road to peace,"
Legalities aside, Pelosi thinking we can actually talk to these people and get somewhere with it one has to wonder exactly how many "facts" she found.
There is no doubt that the Democrats are trying to undermine the Bush administration, but violating the law shouldn't be allowed. The President has always been in charge of foreign policy all the way back to Washington. Until now, Congress has never had a say in the situation. And there is a good reason for that: Only the President can give a single message. Congress will give 535 different messages.
This is a very dangerous precedent to set. Pelosi should not be allowed to get away with this. She will be because she's a liberal Democrat and amazingly the law never seems to apply to people like her.
If something is not done about this, it will only get worst.
