But instead all of these institutions have taken the 180 degree approach, complaining that “24” will inspire people to torture and do other acts. So basically you have the American left suggesting that we censor what the US sees and hears – of course, we want soldiers to be inundated with a political “dialogue” about the war where various liberal pundits call our fighting personal all kinds of nasty things, compare them to Nazis, kick them off college campi, spit on them, etc. Yeah that won’t lower morale at all. Seeing people like the big lib William Arkin at the Washington Post have gone so far as to suggest that enlisted people shouldn’t be allowed to say anything in the debate on the war at all is actually good for the troops. And seeing soldiers who defy orders to go to Iraq (like 1st Lt. Ehren Watada) are darlings of the media and held up as examples for us all. Watada is encouraged to go talk trash about the war, how it’s illegal and how his fellow soldiers are rotten people.
Interesting that you don’t have a problem with that aspect. Do you still consider yourselves “non partisan” even though you’re so blatantly cramming your opinion down everyone’s throats?
